Lekhwiya, El Jaish prepare for AFC Champions League clashes

Doha: QSL side Lekhwiya left for Saudi capital Riyadh yesterday ahead of their  AFC Champions League encounter against Al Nassr.

The third placed QSL side will meet the Saudi team tomorrow evening at the King Fahd International Stadium in their third Group B match of the tournament.
Djamel Belmadi’s side will be looking to grab their first win in the competition this season, after picking up their first point drawing with Iranaian side Zob Ahan 0-0 in match day two.
Lekhwiya will go into the match on good form domestically after they defeated Al Khor 2-0 in round 22 of the Qatar Stars League.  
Meanwhile, El Jaish also began preparations ahead of their AFC Champions League clash against Uzbekistan’s Nasaf in  the third round of AFC Champions League 2016. The Group D fixture will take place tomorrow evening at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium at Lekhwiya club.
Sabri Lamouchi’s side is currently on top of group D after two opening wins against Al Ain of the UAE.
Jaish had a light training session on Saturday evening following their round 22 defeat at the hands of Al Arabi, 2-0. 
 They will be hoping for a third consecutive win the in AFC Champions league when they face Nasaf. The kick off will be at  6.45pm. Agencies
