Qatar Foundation’s Academic Bridge Program (ABP) recently hosted an international college fair in the Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) building in Education City. Representatives from more than 30 universities and educational centers in Qatar, the United Kingdom (UK), the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) participated in the 2015 ABP College Fair. This event gave ABP students, as well as 10th, 11th, and 12th graders from across Doha, a unique occasion to learn more about the admissions requirements for entry into a diverse selection of world-class universities.
“College fairs provide students with the opportunity to have discussions with multiple university representatives and gain insight related to program requirements, admissions details, and campus life all in one setting,” said the ABP’s College Counselor, Dr Marcie Linsey.
A number of Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU) partners were involved in the fair, as well as a significant number of UK universities. The American University of Beirut, the UAE’s Zayed University, Murdoch University from Dubai, and the University of Groningen from the Netherlands were all registered participants. Qatar University School of Medicine, College of North Atlantic, and Community College Qatar were among the local institutions in attendance. Educational centres were also well-represented, with members of the Supreme Education Council, HBKU Outreach, Bedaya Center, and the British Council on-hand to discuss openings and answer questions.
