Doha: Ooredoo global brand ambassador Lionel Messi is set to visit Qatar to launch an international initiative later this month, the company said in a statement yesterday.
“The football star will make a major announcement at a special ceremony with Ooredoo on May 20, and will take part in activities to promote sport and connect with the community,” Ooredoo said.
He will host a football coaching session for children from Qatar as well as young people from Palestine, Indonesia, Iraq, Algeria, Tunisia, Oman, Kuwait and the Maldives – all countries in which Ooredoo companies play an active role in enhancing opportunities for the youth.
