The Doha Marriott has announced that its events catering team has been recognised as the best in the Middle East. Out of 300 properties that entered the Caterer Middle East Awards, the number was whittled down and just five nominations were shortlisted in each category. Doha Marriott’s events catering team was selected as Events Catering Team of the Year. The awards ceremony was held at the Ritz-Carlton, DIFC.
“The events catering team achieved the largest increase of guest satisfaction levels across the region for events held by Doha Marriott and the events catering team.
“The catering team worked around the clock at the annual Al Shaqab Equestrian competition to cater a staggering total of 40,000 covers during the event. Additionally, Doha Marriott has increasingly hosted beach parties, music events and cultural celebrations, all amounting to a great success,” a hotel press release said.
