Somali elite Forces (DANAB) commandos conducted yesterday a military operation in Buq Aqable area, targeting one of the main bases for Al-Shabab militants in Hiran region.
According to Somali News Agency, at least 18 militants were killed as a result of the operation carried by DANAB forces.
DANAB operation resulted also in destroying bases, offices and other places used by Al-Shabaab terrorists in Buq Aqable area.
Buq Aqable area is considered one of the main Al-Shabab bases in the region, located almost 90 KM south of Beledweyne city in Hiran region.
