Doha: Qatar Tesol has had 250 teachers in Qatar and the region already pre-register online for this year’s conference which will be held at Qatar Foundation’s Academic Bridge Programme (ABP) in Education City next Friday.
The theme of the 9th international conference is “21st Century Education – What’s Changing? What’s Not?”. Over the past several weeks and months, teacher, student and university professor volunteers have joined forces to turn the conference into success. The volunteers have different roles and responsibilities which include filling tconference bags with all kinds of goodies, directing conference participants where to go, preparing certificates for all the attendees, and introducing the conference speakers.
Qatar Tesol’s vision is to bring quality professional development opportunities to the educators of Qatar and the region. The theme of this year’s conference reflects the new digital landscape of English language teaching, the fast pace of change in ICT in education and innovative ways for teachers to overcome technological challenges.
This year’s conference has been extended to two full days and will offer two inspiring plenary speakers, 40 workshop sessions in six workshop time slots, an optional tour of Education City and a networking reception for all attendees.
