Doha: Several Ministers have highlighted Qatar Foundation’s instrumental role in advancing education, science, and community development in Qatar. On the occasion of QF’s 30th anniversary, the Ministers praised QF for its legacy of excellence, emphasising its commitment to building a knowledge-based society. They reflected on QF’s transformative impact on education, research, healthcare, technology, sports, culture, and the nation’s future sustainability.
Minister of Social Development and Family H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi affirmed that Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development (QF) continues to advance its ambitious vision of building a knowledge-based society, leveraging its rich legacy of excellence over the past three decades.
Speaking to QNA on the occasion of the QF’s 30th anniversary, the Minister expressed her pride of the pioneering role that the Foundation has played in supporting and developing education, scientific research, and community development, reflecting Qatar’s steadfast commitment to building the capabilities of its citizens and providing a stimulating scientific environment for creativity and innovation towards a sustainable future.
Minister of Communications and Information Technology H E Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai emphasised that the achievements of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) over the past three decades have directly contributed to the realization of Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030.
Speaking to QNA on the occasion of the Foundation’s 30th anniversary, he stated that in the educational and academic field, everyone witnessed the graduation of distinguished national cadres who are now leading technological projects in Qatar, while the field of technological research, especially related to artificial intelligence, forms a fundamental pillar in achieving technological advancement in Qatar. The Minister added that the Fanar project is a prominent example of Qatar Foundation’s commitment to applied research.

H E Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani has also affirmed that Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) has been a steadfast supporter of national sports aspirations for decades. He highlighted its vital role in elevating Qatar’s global standing in sports and fostering a culture of inclusivity by enabling all segments of society to engage in athletic activities.
He underscored the Foundation’s pivotal contribution to advancing women’s and girls’ sports in Qatar. He noted that QF has provided dedicated sports facilities and pathways, including repurposing Education City Stadium after the 2022 FIFA World Cup as a premier venue for women’s and girls’ sports. This initiative, he said, reflects QF’s commitment to fostering inclusivity in sports while upholding cultural identity.
Emphasizing Qatar’s ongoing efforts to build upon the legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Sheikh Hamad reiterated that QF will remain a key partner in the success of future sporting events hosted by the country.
Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater said that over the past three decades, Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) has been a vital national partner in providing comprehensive and advanced education and contributing to realizing a significant transformation in higher education institutions across the Arab region.
The Minister of Education and Higher Education stated that graduates of Qatar Foundation over the past three decades reflect the exemplary educational model established by the Foundation, as they excel academically and possess practical experience in research, innovation, and community development.
She added that Qatar Foundation has been committed to offering specialised educational experiences that meet students’ needs, nurture their talents, and foster them through renowned universities that enhance leadership skills and critical thinking, in addition to the various educational centres affiliated with the Foundation that provide a unique learning environment that has prepared active generations embracing the culture of continuous learning.
Minister of Public Health H E Mansoor bin Ebrahim bin Saad Al Mahmoud emphasised that Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) is an integral part of the development of the State of Qatar’s educational and healthcare systems, highlighting its pioneering role in global healthcare, particularly through its genomic research in collaboration with the Ministry and relevant national entities, which has strengthened the state’s leading position in precision medicine and contributed to building a healthy and active community.
The Minister stated that Qatar Foundation has successfully fostered a culture of precision healthcare among the residents of Qatar and the Arab region. Its leading role in conducting genetic research has been instrumental in transforming medical knowledge into practical applications, directly improving individual health, adding that the Foundation recently crowned its efforts by launching the Qatar Precision Medicine Institute.
He noted that the designation of QF’s Education City as a “Healthy City” by the World Health Organisation (WHO) is a testament to the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Public Health and Qatar Foundation, reflecting their joint efforts to promote public health and sustainability.
