Doha, Qatar: Senior officials from the United Kingdom have expressed their heartfelt condolences to the leadership, government and people of Qatar following the passing of the Father Amir, H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, paying tribute to his remarkable legacy and enduring contribution to the nation’s development.
Messages of sympathy from British leaders and senior government figures highlighted Sheikh Hamad’s visionary leadership, which transformed Qatar into a modern, influential and globally respected nation while strengthening its partnerships with countries around the world, including the United Kingdom. They also praised his commitment to education, diplomacy, economic progress and international cooperation, noting that his achievements will continue to inspire future generations.
The officials conveyed their solidarity with the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Al-Thani family and the people of Qatar during this period of national mourning, reaffirming the close and longstanding friendship between the United Kingdom and the State of Qatar.
