Students India Qatar in association with Girls India launched a campaign titled "Recycle the paper, Save a tree". The campaign has been launched as a part of the upcoming Students Conference scheduled on Friday, November 22 at Barwa village. Doha Students Conference is expected to draw around two thousand students from different Indian schools in Qatar. Renowned Indian Quiz Master and Motivational Speaker Grand Master Dr G S Pradeep will be the chief guest in the conference.
The conference, under the theme "Change is coming" will discuss climate change, culture of intolerance and hate that has been promoted across the world through traditional and social media, uncontrolled destruction of nature in the name of development and put forth messages of new life styles and behaviours to be adopted based on eco-friendliness, mutual respect and love.
According to Students India and Girls India officials, the conference will be a remarkable gathering of the students where they will discuss the impending challenges across the globe that would decisively affect the future world they inherit.
Recycle the paper, Save a tree" campaign is aiming to promote a culture of reuse by disseminating the fact that reusing papers eventually save trees and nature. Students India has set up a counter, at Youth Forum compound at Hilal for collecting used papers, magazines, books etc.
Students India and Girls India volunteers, led by Students India president Fayiz Abdu Rasheed, Secretary Shammas, Girls India president Fariha Abdul Azeez and Vice president Rida Bismi will manage the collection and sort it out for recycling and reuse.
