Three die in train explosion

MULTAN: A bomb blast in a passenger train killed at least three people and wounded 20 others yesterday in central Pakistan, officials said.
The bombing took place in the central town of Rajanpur, some 200 kilometres (120 miles) south of Multan in Punjab province.
“At least three people were killed and 20 others were wounded when a bomb exploded in one of the compartments of (the) Khushhal Khan Khattak express,” senior police official Zahid Mehmood Gondal said.
Eight train wagons fell from the track which was going from the troubled northwestern city of Peshawar to Karachi, he added.
Railways police official Raja Zaheer Arshad also confirmed the blast and casualties.
Land records go online
RAWALPINDI: Almost 90 percent of the land record in the Rawalpindi district has gone online and now the land-related information can be viewed by clicking on the revenue department’s website.
The district government has also set up a service centre at Rawat where the citizens can get any kind of information/copies/fard of their land.
The government also launched a two-day awareness campaign about computerisation of the land record and its process by holding street theatres since yesterday.
