Doha: Rashid Saleh Al Atbha and Deena Al Tobaishi emerged on top in the Skeet events of the Qatar Open at Losail Shooting Range.
Rashid defeated Ali Ahmed Al Ishaq by 14-12 in the final shoot off to emerge the champion in the men’s section.
Saeed Hamad Abusharib and Masoud Hamad Al Athba were locked at 14-all, Saeed winning the shoot off 4-2 to take the bronze medal home.
In the women’s section, Deena Al Tobaish defeated Hajar Mohammed through the shoot off 5-3 and bagged the gold medal. Earlier, both shot 10 each to be deadlocked.
Hannan Haji claimed the bronze medal when she defeated Hajar Mohammed 11-8. Junior shooters Lolwa Al Mullah and Sarah Mohammed were other two to have reached the semi-finals. Sarah emerged the champion in the junior class, while Lolwa finished the runner-up.
Mubarak Ahmad Al Kuwari won the Junior Skeet title.
