Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that registration for the academic year 2021-22 in private schools and kindergartens will start from March 1 until October 14, 2021.
The students who are coming from abroad can register until the end of January 2022.
Hamad Muhammad Al Ghali, Director of the Private Schools Licensing Department, said that the school determines the appropriate registration mechanism considering that it does not violate the regulations and laws for registration approved by the Ministry.
Procedures related to admission to private schools:
1- The school capacity depends on the building inspection report.
2- The school must review and determine the number of vacancies.
3- The school must upload student’s data in the ministry’s system within a week from the date of admission.
4- The school shall notify the guardian of the approval to register the student within a period of no less than one week from the date of submitting the application.
5- Private schools are obligated to use the National Student Information System (NSIS) to enter the following:
• Male and female students registration
• Removal
• Shifting
• Issuing “To Whom It May Concern Certificate”.
• Approved tuition fees.
• Update the school portal.
• Daily attendance and absence.
Important caveats:
1- It is not permissible to register any student who does not have a QID (Residency Permit) from the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar.
2- It is not permissible to register any student who entered the country with a visit visa.
3- Not register over the school capacity.
4- The school has no right to keep the student on the waiting list for more than a week from the date of submitting the application.
5- Failure to direct parents to the ministry regarding the registration request that exceeds the approved capacity of the school building.
