DOHA: A section of the service road leading from industrial Area to Ain Khaled will be closed from tomorrow as part of the ongoing work on Salwa Road intersections.
The closure will be for one week and the road will reopen for traffic on May 25, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) said yesterday.
Motorists coming from industrial area to Ain Khaled have been advised to use the alternate roads during the temporary closure.
Ashghal also announced the partial closure of a section of Al Kharaitiyat street heading south (between Suhail Bin Abdulla Al Attiya Street and North Kharaityat street) beginning Sunday lasting for four months.
The closure is part of the first stage of a large scale project to develop the Al Kharaitiyat groundwater lowering system.
Commuters heading south will be able to use the temporary alternative roads (see the attached map).
