Doha: ExxonMobil Qatar’s Tamayoz training programme enhanced skills of almost 70 employees of its valued joint venture partners Qatar Petroleum, RasGas and Qatargas in May, the company said in a statement.
Training and development opportunities were made available in Doha and included production engineering overview, fundamentals of cost and schedule engineering and reservoir surveillance courses.
As with all initiatives in the Tamayoz programme, the courses were led by ExxonMobil experts and are offered for participants with the aim of transferring knowledge to valued partners.
“The program is a highlight of ExxonMobil’s commitment to Qatar National Vision 2030,” said Bart Cahir, President and General Manager, ExxonMobil Qatar. “By providing individual training courses that cover a vast range of subject matters throughout the year, ExxonMobil experts share technical, commercial and operational expertise with Qatari partners to maximise knowledge transfer and support sustainability for Qatar’s future,” he added.
The five-day production engineering overview hosted 28 participants from May 4 to 8, targeting currently assigned production engineers and emerging production engineering candidates to enhance their skills and competencies.
Upon completion, participants are able to describe responsibilities and roles of the production engineer during capital projects; discuss major work processes underpinning production engineers’ job; assess and critique contractor performance and distinguish and evaluate key interfaces.
