Doha: HEC Paris recently completed a Custom Programme for Ooredoo employees.
The ‘Columbus Labs Workshop’ took place on May 25-26 at HEC Paris’ premises, under the theme ‘Explore, Experiment and Enable Strategic Innovation’.
It was offered to participants who completed the successful Value Leader Programme delivered by HEC Paris in Doha from 2011 to 2013.
The workshop is designed to build on management skills acquired through Value Leader programmes and take strategy and innovation to the next level. The format of the workshop consisted of lectures, group work and presentations.
Its aimed at improving  systematic exploration and generation of innovative strategic options.
The workshop is an experiential learning device in an entertaining atmosphere. It combines academic content with practical tools, which can easily be transferred to the working environment.
“The fact that participants in the Columbus programme have previously worked with HEC Paris on the Value Leader program is good for both parties. The two-day workshop enables rapid learning and information transfer and I think this is proof of quality of the delivering faculty and participants’ enthusiasm and willingness to learn,” said Professor Laoucine Kerbache, CEO and Academic Dean, HEC Paris in Qatar.
The workshop empowered participants to identify and discuss how they can enable innovation individually, at their immediate team and organisational levels.
It was delivered by Hélène Musikas, Affiliate Professor, HEC Paris, and Academic Coordinator of the EMBA Modular programmes. She teaches strategy.
