Security was tight around the Egyptian embassy in the Diplomatic Area in Doha yesterday afternoon apparently as a precautionary measure against people coming to the mission after Friday prayers to protest Wednesday’s military action in Cairo. Law-enforcement officials began blocking roads leading to the embassy from 1pm onwards. Some five police vans with law-enforcement personnel inside keeping a vigil could be seen outside the main entrance to the embassy at 1.30pm. Qassim Rahmatullah
