Doha, Qatar: Katara Cultural Village will host a series of QatArt Arts & Craft Workshops on Friday and Saturday, September 18 and 19, offering creative hands-on experiences for participants of different age groups.
According to posts on its official social media accounts yesterday, the workshops will take place from 4pm to 8pm at the Katara Art Studios in Building 19. Sessions are scheduled in two time slots, from 4pm to 6pm and from 6pm to 8pm.
On Friday, September 18, two workshops will be available. The Ceramic Casting Workshop is open to participants aged seven years and above. It lasts two hours and carries a fee of QR120. The Stunning Tube Bracelet Workshop is designed for those aged 17 and above, also lasting two hours, with a participation fee of QR130.
On Saturday, September 19, three workshops are scheduled. Participants aged 12 and above can join the “Make Your Own Keychain from Polymer Clay” workshop, which runs for two hours at a fee of QR120. The “Make Your Own Sugar Scrub & Bath Salt” workshop, also for ages 12 and above, lasts two hours and costs QR200. Crochet for Beginners is open to children aged six years and above. This four-hour session is priced at QR150.
Katara said the workshops form part of its ongoing efforts to promote arts, crafts and creative expression among residents and visitors of different ages. The programmes provide practical experience in traditional and contemporary craft techniques while encouraging participants to create their own pieces.
