RasGas headquarters bags UAE energy award

DOHA: Leading LNG producer, RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) has bagged the ‘Emirates Energy Award 2013’ for adopting environment-friendly and cost efficient technologies in its headquarters building. 

Being a regional pacesetter for energy efficiency, the company was awarded at an event organised recently by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, said a press statement.

RasGas won the award for its headquarters building in the category of Public Sector Undertakings. Entries included institutions and projects from across the Middle East and North Africa. “The award is a source of great pride, as it confirms RasGas’ position as a regional pacesetter for the adoption of sustainable design practices implemented through practical and cost effective green building technologies,” said Ali Al Marri, RasGas’ Facilities Management Manager.
