MANAMA: Bahrain will host the 6th Annual Conference of the Gulf E-Commerce Forum on Tuesday under the slogan "Electronic Integration to Facilitate the Procedures in the Public and Private Sectors" with the participation of experts from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The two-day conference will cover topics related to e-government and its relationship to the services provided to beneficiaries from governmental and private sectors and individuals through direct electronic communications.
The conference will also highlight areas of direct electronic transactions of common interest of decision-makers and dealers in the governmental sector and the private business sector as well as the scientific institutions and individuals.
The organising committee explained in a press release that the idea of the e-government is increasingly accepted by many officials and interested in developed countries. (QNA)
