UN rights centre hosts exhibition

DOHA: The UN Human Rights Training and Documentation Centre for South-West Asia and the Arab Region held an arts and photography exhibition to mark the International Human Rights Day on December 10.

The exhibition was held at the headquarters of the UN Human Rights Training and Documentation Centre for South-West Asia and the Arab Region at Lusail Street Number 66, West Bay.

The expo entitled registration and right to participate in the public life depicting directly the Articles 19-21 of the declaration of the International Human Rights. Themes of the photography freedom of speech, freedom for staging rallies and rights to participate in  government directly or by being elected representatives. The art exhibition not only included literature but also placards, pictures, ceramics, stone-sculptures, glasses, metals and wood made arts, jewellery, stitched and weaved items, said a press release.

The event was an open exhibition to display the masterpieces of all artists, professionals and photographers.
