Air Cargo and Private Airports Customs Department thwarted an attempt to smuggle Captagon pills into the country.
The department said that an attempt to smuggle 50 Captagon pills were foiled, after an employee at the Postal Dispatches Department (Express Mail Customs) suspected the contents of a parcel.
The narcotic tablets were found hidden in a medicine box inside the parcel, said the authorities in a tweet.
The authority has been issuing a continuous warning to those attempting to carry illegal substances into the country. Customs officials in the country are provided all means of support including developed means of systems and continuous training.
