Where in Qatar can you see the important monuments and landmarks of the country in one place? Since it opened a year ago, Barzan Olympic Park has been a hit with sports enthusiasts, with a number of areas where they can practise their chosen sport. The park has two football grounds, two tennis courts, a basketball court, a swimming pool, a cycling track and walking lanes. But the most fascinating feature of the park are small-scale replicas of the country’s monuments, including forts such as Al Wajbah, Al Kout, Al Wakrah and Al Zubarah, as well as the Barzan, Al Khor and Clock towers. There are also replicas of the Fanar building, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulwahab Mosque, Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar University, the Emiri Diwan, Sheraton Doha and the Torch Tower at the park in Umm Salal.
