DOHA: The ‘Letters and Money’ exhibition featuring a collection of prominent Qatari numismatist Hasan Al Nu’aimi will open on Sunday at Katara Building 3. He is one of the biggest collectors of currencies in the world and his collections are valued for their unique numbers.
The expo is part of Katara Ramadan festival which recently launched the second Quran memorising course. Open to children between five and 12 years, the course is being held at Katara Grand Mosque for boys and at the Golden Mosque for girls.
Supervised by professional trainees, the course has been well received by children and parents have lauded Katara for religious and social activities and amusing and educating kids during Ramadan.
“The distinctive factor about the session is the fact that it has attracted students from different levels and age groups,” said Mohammed Saeed Al Hajiri, a Quran reciter. He said the course was organised to benefit from the spirituality of the holy month.
Katara has also organised the fourth religious lecture ‘Nfahat al Eman’ as part of Katara Ramadan festival. It was delivered by Sheikh Mohammed Hassan Yaqoub. Eight lectures by eminent scholars and will address topics related to Ramadan as well as religious and health benefits of fasting.
Meanwhile, the Katara beach will be open to public. A raffle draw will be held to provide free entry at Katara family beach during Ramadan.
