DOHA: The employees of Qatar Petroleum’s Dukhan Operations yesterday donated a cheque for QR131,520 to Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) during an iftar gathering hosted by QP’s Dukhan Operations.
The Minister of Energy and Industry, H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, the Minister of Environment, H E Ahmad bin Amer Al Humaidi, and senior QP officials, including Saad Sherida Al Kaabi, Board Member and Director of Oil and Gas Ventures, and Said Mubarak Al Muhannadi, Director of Operations, attended.
The event was hosted by Ahmad Saif Al Sulaiti, Operations Manager — Dukhan Fields.
Also present were other QP directors and department managers, division heads and dignitaries from Doha and Dukhan.
The guests were treated to many traditional activities, including the firing of the iftar cannon.
After iftar, Dr Al Sada and guests toured an exhibition of Islamic calligraphy drawings and a honey exhibition, which was the inspiration behind the annual iftar organised by Dukhan Operations’ Integrated Facilities Management Department.
The event concluded with Dr Al Sada presenting a memento to Al Humaidi in appreciation for his years of dedicated service with QP.
Al Sulaiti presented the cheque to Dr Mohd Saleh Ibrahim, Executive Manager, and Ali Yousef Al Kuwari, Public Relations Manager of Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani Foundation for Humanitarian Services.
The donation came from Dukhan Operations’ employees in support of the RAF Foundation’s humanitarian activities and charity work.
