Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Republic of Turkiye HE Recep Tayyip Erdogan, held an official session of talks at Lusail Palace Tuesday evening.
At the beginning of the session, HH the Amir welcomed HE the Turkish President and the accompanying delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in Qatar, and for the strategic relations between the two countries to further develop and grow in various fields to meet the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples, praising the level of Qatari-Turkish cooperation in vital fields, especially in the investment, trade exchange, tourism and culture sectors.
For his part, the Turkish President expressed his thanks to His Highness for the good reception and generous hospitality, hoping that the talks with His Highness would contribute to strengthening cooperation and developing strategic cooperation between Qatar and Turkiye, as well as push the strategic relations between the two countries to broader horizons.

During the talks, the strong desire of the two countries to deepen bilateral cooperation through enhancing trade exchange and economic relations was emphasized.
The two countries also affirmed their commitment to work together to enhance their position on the global economic map.
Based on this principle, the two sides agreed to intensify the work of their joint technical teams to identify mutually beneficial investment opportunities, especially in the fields of export financing, tourism, clean energy, and other areas of common interest.
In this context, HH the Amir praised the steps taken by the Turkish side to improve the country's general financial situation and reduce the inflation rate through a multifaceted strategy aimed at introducing improvements in the monetary policy framework.
For his part, HE the Turkish President praised the potentials inherent in the Qatari economy, which achieved balanced growth rates despite global challenges, and considered it one of the strongest economies in the region.
During the session, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing and developing them in various fields, in addition to discussing the most important regional and international issues and developments.

HH the Emir and HE the Turkish President also witnessed the signing of the joint statement between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkiye on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Qatari-Turkish diplomatic relations.
The talks session and the signing ceremony were attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Head of the State Security HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, and a number of senior officials.
It was also attended from the Turkish side by Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Hakan Fidan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources HE Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Treasury and Finance HE Mehmet Simsek, Minister of National Defense HE Yasar Guler, Minister of Industry and Technology HE Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Minister of Commerce HE Omer Bolat, Head of the National Intelligence Service HE Ibrahim Kalin, and a number of senior officials.

His Highness and His Excellency the Turkish President held a bilateral meeting before the talks, during which they exchanged views on a number of issues of concern to both sides.
HH the Amir also held a dinner banquet in honor of the Turkish President and his accompanying delegation.
It was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Speaker of the Shura Council HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, and a number of Their Excellencies sheikhs, ministers, senior officials and businessmen.
Earlier, an official reception ceremony was held for His Excellency the Turkish President upon his arrival at Lusail Palace.
