Doha, Qatar: Hamad International Airport shared an arrival guide for travelers arriving during what they called one of HIA’s “busiest arrival periods”.
“This August, Doha welcomes home thousands of families and students returning from their summer travels,” HIA mentioned in its guide.
On “Travelling with Little Ones” HIA said that the airport “offers complimentary child strollers for families travelling with children. The stroller nests are located across the terminal concourses.”
HIA passengers can also use the complimentary shuttle buggy service from designated stations in Concourses D and E or board along their route, subject to seat availability. The shuttle drops passengers off near the Arrivals immigration escalators.
The guide also mentioned that eligible passengers can use Scan & Go with E-gates for a smoother immigration process before continuing to the baggage reclaim area.
“Children using the service must meet the minimum height requirement of 120 cm,” it stated.
“ If you are picking up family or friends, the car park is the best option. It is a short walk to the Arrivals Hall and keeps traffic moving smoothly. Check the parking rates to plan ahead,” it added.
With regards to getting into the city, the official guide notes that Uber, BadrGo and Ryde pick up point are located “on the ground floor of the car park, next to the car rental booths.”
“Authorised taxis and buses are available at their designated pavilions on each corner of the Arrivals Hall, with the assurance of a safe, reliable service and lost-and-found support.” The Doha Metro, it added, is a “short indoor walk connects you to the Metro and the rest of the city.”
As for other services, car rental, limousine and valet services are available within the terminal, with valet parking offered at both Departures and Arrivals for added convenience.
For picking up bags, the flight's baggage belt will be displayed on the flight information screens in the baggage reclaim area, with the guide emphasizing that “all bags, including oversized items, will be delivered to the assigned belt.”
“Before leaving, check your baggage tags to ensure you have collected the correct bags. If you can't find your bag or something is missing, the Baggage Services Office in the Arrivals Hall is available to assist,” it reminded.
