Doha: Qatar Museums Authority has been nominated for the 2012 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards for the short film category for the Best Production of Documentary Film called “Be Amusing”. This film was produced by Resolution Productions in collaboration with an idea and design from Human Capital team at Qatar Museums Authority, as part of the advertising campaign for the Qatar Careers Fair in February 2012 in London.
The idea for the documentary is to illustrate the link between the Authority’s local and international vision, which describes the work environment from the perspective of developing and nurturing employees to achieve the Authority’s aims and vision.
Commenting on the nomination Chief Human Capital Officer Sharoq Al Malki said: “This is the first time that any organisation in the GCC has been put forward for such an award. It is a great honour for QMA to be nominated and we are extremely hopeful that we will return triumphant with the trophy, so that we once again place both Qatar and QMA at the forefront of the world stage.”
Kirby Kearns, the managing director of Resolution Productions, who produced the film said: “It is very exciting for Resolution Productions to be nominated for this prestigious award for a film we produced for the Qatar Museums Authority. The nomination is testament to the hard work put into this project by the whole team, especially Craig Chaplin who edited the piece”.
