Forest workers remove the carcass of a male elephant with an excavator in a paddy field after it was electrocuted at Rakamjote village near the India-Nepal Border, some 45km from Siliguri, yesterday. Two wild elephants including a female were found electrocuted in a rice field, where villagers had put electric fencing to protect their crops from the foraging animals.
