DOHA: Indian President Pranab Mukherjee has greeted the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on the occasion of the National Day of Qatar.
“I have great pleasure in extending warm greetings and felicitations on behalf of the government and the people of India and on my own behalf to Your Highness and to the people of the State of Qatar,” the India’s head of state said in a message of greetings to the Emir.
“India values its close and mutually beneficial relationship with the State of Qatar. Your Highness’ successful visit to India in April, 2012 has provided further impetus to our multifaceted engagement,” Mukherjee said in the message, the text of which was released by the Indian embassy here yesterday.
“I am confident that our ongoing cooperation across the full spectrum of political, economic and cultural activities will be further strengthened and diversified by us for the mutual benefit of our peoples.”
