Ezdan Holding Group marks National Day

DOHA: Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani Al Thani, Chairman of Ezdan Holding Group which is the platinum sponsor of an array of events to celebrate National Day, has once again urged all institutions to strive for achieving all-round development of the country in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
“On this auspicious occasion, we renew our call to all institutions to exert more efforts towards the advancement of our country and all the best for the benefit of the people in Qatar to enjoy a better life as stipulated in the national vision of development of the state in 2030,” he said in a statement released by the Group yesterday.
He said Qatar is witnessing a quantum leap day after day in various fields, including economic, social and medical, in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
“This year’s celebration of National Day comes to mark extraordinary achievements made locally for the benefit of citizens and residents,” he said, praising the wise leadership that spares no effort to improve our beloved Qatar.
Through its projects and initiatives, Ezdan Group contributes effectively in support of the Qatari society in various sectors and areas in accordance with Qatar Development Strategy 2030, ensuring welfare of the people in line with the four pillars of the strategy.
Sheikh Khalid said Ezdan is proud to celebrate the day to commemorate the Founding Father Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, who founded the modern state on this spot of earth.
He said celebrations taking place in Qatar reflect the civilised image of loyalty and belonging to the state known for its generosity, security and safety of citizens and expatriates.
He said tremendous achievements realised in Qatar are the result of successive persevering generations loyal to the leaders to the country.
“We are all witnessing important and stunning evolution in national economy indicators, making Qatar one of the richest countries in terms of per capita income, in addition to the highest human development in the Arab World.
“Qatar is recognised as a high- income economy by the World Bank. In addition, the national economy contributes to improving living standards for the entire population” he added.
Meanwhile, in cooperation with Ezdan Mall, the General Directorate of Civil Defence yesterday began recreational activities for 10 days in Ezdan Mall Gharafa to celebrate National Day. Activities include drawing and colouring competitions for children, electronic games, and other events for the public.
