Doha: H H Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, wife of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday attended the closing ceremony of student events hosted by Al Fareej tent at Darb Al Saai, held as part of National Day celebrations.
She gave away shields to the top three winning schools.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports H E Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser Al Ali, also Chairman, Darb Al Saai Organizing Committee.
Khadija Primary School won the first rank for presenting a show on ‘sports in the Qatari women’s lives’, the second rank was achieved by Jawan bin Jassim Primary School for boys for presenting a review “The evolution of the sport in Qatar until the 2022 World Cup’, and Al Nahda Primary School for Girls came in the third place .
Sheikha Jawaher congratulated the participants and parents, and commended the efforts being made, wishing them success in the coming years.
