Doha: The CEO of Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), H E Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Thani bin Khalid Al Thani, has applauded the wonderful coverage of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 by the media.
"The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 received excellent media coverage at both the local and international levels," said the QMC CEO in an interview with the QNA.
He added that the QMC TV channels and radio stations offered the best coverage for the tournament in a way that matched the reputation of Qatar and the event.
"A total of 6,900 media personnel were accredited through the Host Country Media Portal for the tournament. "The concerted efforts of government institutions and the decisive and impressive roles of the local media contributed greatly to the success of Qatar 2022," Sheikh Abdulaziz noted.
"We are happy with the level of social media coverage and traffic during the tournament. "Different types of local media and bloggers exhibited a high level of responsibility during the event," he added.
The QMC CEO noted that QMC provided all the necessary logistic services to ensure the success of the national and international event—the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
