QSE index gained 231 points last week

Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) main index gained 231.96 points, or 2.17 percent, during last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 10,941.43 points.
Trading value last week increased by 49.51 percent to reach QR1.60bn compared to QR1.07bn. Trading volume increased by 32.07 percent to reach 49.31 million shares, as against 37.34 million  shares, while the number of transactions rose by 18 percent, to reach 19,553 transactions as compared to 16,570 transactions. Market cap rose by 1.67 percent to reach QR585.89bn  as compared to QR576.29bn at the end of last week.
Banking and financial services sector led traded value last week with for 35.9 percent of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 22.50 percent. Real estate sector accounted for 17.42 percent and consumer goods and services sector accounted 12.88 percent. Real estate sector led traded volume this week with 27.86 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 26.73 percent. Industries sector accounted for 19.83 percent and Telecoms sector accounted 12.86 percent, reports QNA.
When compared on daily basis, the QSE index gained 61.28 points, or 0.56 percent, yesterday compared to Wednesday. The volume of shares traded decreased to 7.3 million  from 10.28 million on Wednesday.
