Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) clarified that what is being circulated on social media about the possibility of obtaining a Covid-19 vaccination for everyone who wishes to go to the vaccination center at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) is not true.

The Ministry affirmed that to ensure public safety and smooth and effective conduct of the vaccination process, intimations to obtain vaccination will be sent gradually and in stages, where the targeted group for vaccination during the current stage will receive a short text message inviting them to come to the vaccination center on specific dates.

MoPH also stated that the vaccine will only be given to those who received an intimation. Others are required to wait until they receive an invitation via SMS.

The Ministry also urged all community members to obtain news and information from official sources, through the ministry’s website, and through its accounts on social media.
