DOHA: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday held telephone talks with the Ecuadorian President, Rafael Correa Delgado, on regional and international issues, especially the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Relations between both countries and ways of enhancing them were also reviewed.
The Emir also held telephone talks with the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, on latest developments in Palestine, including Gaza, and relations between Qatar and the UK.

DOHA: Qatar University (QU) will hold an orientation programme for new students between September 7 and 11.
New students’ orientation is a mandatory event which aims at acquainting and familiarising new foundation and undergraduate students with opportunities QU offers.
Students who fail to attend orientation will not be able to register or attend the fall 2014 semester classes and will need to re-apply for spring 2015 admission.
Orientation will be conducted in the College of Business and Economics Building.
