Doha: The Empowerment and Elderly Care Centre “Ehsan,” one of the centres of Qatar Foundation for Social Work, concluded its summer programme, organised by the Council of Elders in cooperation with several youth centres.
The programme aimed to strengthen intergenerational communication, benefit from the experiences of older people, and promote their active role in society.
It featured a variety of cultural, social, awareness, and recreational activities that brought older people and younger generations together, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, experiences, values, and social heritage.
The centre highlighted the importance of such initiatives in empowering older people and strengthening their community participation, while praising its cooperation with youth centres in expanding community initiatives and creating new opportunities for joint programmes
