Doha, Qatar: The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call today from Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H E Mark Rutte.
During the call, the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries were reviewed, in addition to discussing regional and international developments, especially related to developments in the situation in the Palestinian territories.
In this regard, His Highness the Amir stressed Qatar's firm position in condemning all forms of targeting civilians, and the need to make efforts to reduce the escalation and spare civilians the consequences of the fighting, open safe corridors in Gaza for relief and humanitarian efforts, and ensure that the violence does not expand regionally.
For his part, the Dutch Prime Minister praised the role of His Highness the Amir and the diplomatic efforts of the State of Qatar regarding the situation in Gaza.
