DOHA: Q-Tire, a renowned, original-concept retail and servicing chain providing adequate automotive solutions and services, will be a partner in the Red Bull–Qatar “Car Park Drift” to be held on February 23.
Marzooq Shamlan Al Shamlan Holding is the parent company of Q-Tire. The high-profile motorsports event is to be held under the support and supervision of Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation, and in partnership with Vodafone Qatar, Losail Circuit Sports Club, TOTAL, and Falken Tires. The annual drift showdown will be held at the Losail Circuit Sports Club at 7pm and is expected to attract dozens of contestants as well as thousands of motorsports fans.
Contestants are expected to display their proficiency behind the steering wheel as they will take on a challenging new course inspired by the masterful Red Bull Athlete; Abdo Feghali, who will be supervising and performing at the event.
“We’re going to be setting up at the Losail Circuit Sports Club, which means we have even more space for the drifters to comfortably demonstrate all their skills, techniques and control. I’m looking forward to crowning Qatar’s next King of Drift that will qualify for the grand finale in Lebanon.”, said Drift Champion Abdo Feghali. The contestants are judged based on their skills, precision and creativity as they aim to attain the highest scores. The higher the score, the closer they become to being crowned Qatar’s 2018 King of Drift.
The Red Bull Car Park Drift Series has become critically acclaimed by thousands of fans and motorsport enthusiasts in Qatar. This comes with a high standard of safety and security that guarantees an entertaining environment for both the participants as well as the audience.
Aligned with its strategy to spread road safety awareness #QtireOnTheRoad & support young Qatari automotive sports initiative and after the successful contribution in “Qatar Custom Show”, Q-Tire will be having its presence in the VIP area as Q-Tire Service Vehicle will take care of provision of tires changing facility on Prequalifier (February 22), and provision of tires changing facility on qualifier (February 23).
