Katara to host ‘Signs of Mercy’ tonight

Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Yaqoub and Qatari poet Mohammed bin Futis Al Merri are among the leading personalities to take part in the event.


DOHA: Katara is organising the ‘Signs of Mercy’ event tonight at the Opera House, Building 16, as one of the highlights of Katara festivities for Ramadan.

Organised in collaboration with Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF), the event will witness the presence of outstanding figures from the GCC countries. 

Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Yaqoub and Sheikh Ahmed Zahrani will take part at the event, along with renowned Qatari poet Mohammed bin Futis Al Merri.

‘Signs of Mercy’ will also feature a lecture by Saudi scholar Saeed bin Misfer who is known for his unique narrative style of addressing attendees. 

Renowned Qatari scholar Abu Al Ayneen will also take part.

A charity auction will be launched on the sidelines, along with an exhibition of jewellery, paintings and a unique visual presentation. 

The Katara Ramadan festival offers a variety of activities and events, including eight lectures by eminent scholars on topics related to Ramadan. The lectures will also highlight religious and healthy benefits of fasting.

The Cultural Village exudes the unique Ramadan atmosphere, having been decked up with lights attracting thousands of visitors since the start of the holy month.
