Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Public Health has announced the commencement of confirmatory medical examinations (follow-up examinations) at the Medical Commission for new arrivals from the Republic of the Philippines for the purpose of residency, effective from today.
These confirmatory examinations aim to ensure that new arrivals are free from communicable diseases. They serve as a continuation of the examinations currently conducted at Ministry-approved medical offices in the Philippines before departure to the State of Qatar.
The Ministry emphasised that these measures are part of its ongoing commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring that all arrivals are free from any communicable diseases.
It should be noted that all new arrivals from six Asian countries undergo comprehensive medical examinations in their home countries at Qatar Visa Centres accredited by the Ministry. These centres are located in India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
It is pointed out that confirmatory medical examinations are provided free of charge at the Medical Commission for new arrivals from the Philippines for the purpose of residency. Their requirements can be found under the residency medical examination requirements section on the Ministry of Public Health’s website.
