RIYADH: The GCC Secretary General Dr.Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani has condemned the horrific blast that rocked Al Ashrafieh district in Beirut, Lebanon earlier Friday and left many civilians either dead or injured.
Dr.Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani described the blast as a "cowardly terrorist act that contravenes all human and moral values and principles."
Al Zayani said that such a terrorist attack aimed to destabilize brotherly Lebanon and terrorize its citizens, calling upon all national groups in Lebanon to adhere to wisdom and exercise self-restraint in order thwart the perpetrators' plan to drag their country into violence and tensions.
He also offered sincere condolences to the deceased and wished the wounded speedy recovery. (QNA)
