Nasser Khaled Al Yazidi, a young Qatari who handed a scarf to the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani when he walked to greet people watching the National Day celebrations on Tuesday morning, says he feels elated that the Emir accepted his ‘gift’. Al Yazidi says he is inundated with calls from relatives and friends congratulating him on his ‘feat’. “My phone doesn’t stop ringing,” said the young Qatari, adding that he always dreamt of seeing the Emir from close quarters.
