Doha: Amid significant turnout of nationals, expatriates and tourists, the activities of seventh International Falcons and Hunting Festival (Marmi Festival) continues at Sealine Sabkhat al Marmi.
The Seventh Qatar International Falcons and Hunting festival, launched under the patronage of H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani will continue till the end of this month.
Sabkhat al Marmi of Sealine, has been the favourite destination for visitors From all regions of the country during the weekend since the activities of falcon festival have started earlier this month.
The festival goers appreciated the preparation and the warm hospitality of the organisers.
They said that competitors performed well and we enjoyed these activities. Thay visit to this festival comes with memorable moments of thrill and enthusiasm for this renowned sport and they had the opportunity to get to know the culture and traditions of the Qatari society.
On the side of the festival, there was a cultural aspect that was manifested in handicrafts, hunting gear, camping, and traditional erected tents.
These items reflected the older lifestyle of Qataris along with dates and Arab coffee with its aromatic ingredients for which Arabia is known. The festival activities will continue till January end.
