Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, in cooperation with Doha Municipality, has distributed more than 800 packets, including jackets for municipal workers to protect them from cold wave while performing their duties.

A working team from the Foundation, in cooperation with a number of municipal employees, distributed these jackets at different locations within the city of Doha.

This initiative comes within the framework of the Foundation’s keenness to formulate influential charitable and humanitarian initiatives through building effective partnerships with various national bodies and institutions with the aim of achieving social welfare.

In this context, Fawaz Eid Al Shammari, Director of Support Services at the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, said that this initiative confirms the Foundation’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Doha Municipality, which comes for the fifth year in a row.

He said that the initiative aims at building a system of partnerships with various local community institutions, whose essence seeks to perpetuate the principle of social solidarity, which would achieve a serious contribution to achieving sustainable community development.

Al Shammari added that the cooperation with Doha Municipality comes within the framework of uniting efforts to enhance the well-being of workers in Qatari society.
He said that this is also to ensure that they carry out their work within healthy and comfortable conditions that enable them to perform their duties, which will necessarily be reflected in the level of performance and productivity, especially in low temperatures at some times of the year.

Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation attaches great importance to local projects and initiatives, which are at the top of the Foundation’s priorities following its strategy.

This is within a clear vision of the Foundation which aimed at enhancing the well-being of the Qatari society and promoting its comprehensive renaissance, by uniting efforts with various civil society organisations.

For his part, Mansour bin Ajran Al Buainain, Director of Doha Municipality, said: “We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation on behalf of Doha Municipality and its workers for good response and cooperation serving public interest.”

He also appreciated the social contribution of the Foundation and positive interaction and communication with community members for its development and effective participation, which had a good impact among the workers in the Doha Municipality, hoping for continued cooperation and coordination for the public interest.
