DOHA: Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Thursday, adding 27.23 points (or 0.32 percent) to advance to 8,605.60 points from 8,578.37 on Wednesday.
The volume of the shares traded up to 4,334,426 from 2,992,836 on Wednesday and the value of shares increased to QR169,721,110.90 from QR140,362,435.88 Wednesday.
Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 0.68 percent to QR134.00, Industries Qatar rose 0.90 percent to QR157.40, Qatar Telecom gained 0.69 percent to QR116.30 and Vodafone Qatar up by 1.38 percent to QR8.79.
The Banking and Financial sector index up 0.22 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index added 0.49 points. The industrial sector gained 0.69 points while insurance sector rose 0.29 points. (QNA)
