Washington: South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said his meeting with Donald Trump went "very well" Wednesday despite the US president ambushing him with a video that he claimed proved genocide against white people.

"It went very well," Ramaphosa told reporters as he left the White House following the encounter in the Oval Office.
