Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) forecast hot weather conditions across the country during the weekend, with temperatures expected to reach up to 39°C along with strong winds and high waves offshore.
In a weather forecast on social media, QMD said that Thursday, May 21, will see hot daytime conditions and moderate temperatures at night, with temperatures ranging between 28°C and 38°C.
On Friday, May 22, strong winds and high seas are expected offshore by evening. Temperatures will range from 28°C to 39°C, accompanied by slight dust during the day and moderate weather at night.
Daytime is expected to be hot also on Saturday, with slight dust blowing in some areas and moderate temperatures by night between 29°C and 39°C.
Winds over the three days will be northwesterly to northeasterly on Thursday and northwesterly on Friday and Saturday ranging from 6 to 20 knots, and gusting up to 30 knots at times.
Sea waves this weekend are expected to range between 2 and 8 feet, rising up to 10 feet at times
