Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) reported on Sunday that an internal explosion occurred in one of the factories in the Ras Laffan Industrial City following a technical incident, with civil defense teams responding to the incident.
MoI added that no injuries or leaks posing a threat to individuals' safety were recorded.
UPDATE:
In a new statement published on social media, MoI stated: "Further to the previous statement, the incident was caused by a technical malfunction during operations at a factory in Ras Laffan Industrial City. A number of injuries were reported, with no leaks posing a threat to public safety. The competent authorities are continuing to respond to the incident."
