Doha, Qatar: Kuwait said that several power generation and water desalination stations were struck on Monday evening — the fourth consecutive day of attacks.

The Iranian aggression resulted in fires breaking out at a number of its facilities, said the Kuwait's Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Ministry, in a statement.

The Ministry's emergency teams, coordinating with the General Fire Force and security agencies, immediately responded to the incidents and managed to bring the fires under control and extinguish them, it said.

It further added that damage from the attacks has been assessed, and teams are now implementing repair and rehabilitation plans for the facilities.

It also stated that a number of generation units have been taken offline in line with standard precautionary operating procedures, out of concern for equipment safety and the stability of the electrical and water systems.
