Ramallah: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine confirmed Sunday that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is subject to constant Israeli aggression via a combination of wide and stringent occupation measures dedicated to further isolating it from its other regions through preventing the Palestinian citizens from accessing the Mosque with various methods and subsequently preventing the worshipers from praying inside the Mosque, in addition to imposing further restrictions and obstacles, including collective punishment that increasingly reduce the number of worshipers accessing the Mosque.
The ministry added in a statement on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Mosque fire that the Israeli occupation authorities continue to carry out their plots against Al-Aqsa with the objective of establishing its temporal division on the way of its spatial division, if not entirely demolishing it and construct the alleged Temple replacing Al-Aqsa Mosque, pointing gout that such measures coincide with a brutal campaign unleashed by the Israeli occupation authorities against the endowment for the Al-Aqsa Mosque, its religious symbols and institutions with the objective of withdrawing and stealing their power and mandate and prevent them form carrying out their mission toward Al Aqsa Mosque.
The ministry asserted that the aggressive campaign being unleashed against Al-Aqsa is an integral part of the Judaization processes followed by deepening the settlement and changing Al-Aqsa Islamic-Christian landmarks and its civilized identity to further create new realities that are strongly imposed by the Israeli occupation, whether above ground or underground, in consistency with the colonial ambitions of the occupation and its Talmudic narrations, holding the Israeli occupation authorities responsible for its violations and the crimes unleashed against Al-Aqsa, warning of the dangers facing it on a daily basis, stressing that the resilience of the Jerusalemites safeguarded its Islamic-Christian identity and Arabism and subsequently foiled the occupation's plots and goals.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that providing international protection for Jerusalem and its holy sites, with is Al-Aqsa Mosque at the forefront, as the capital of the State of Palestine and the main entrance of protecting the two-state solution including the entire peace process.
